The Last Time. . . .

Over the past few weeks, and especially the last few days, I've been going through a lot of "This is the last time I'll be/do/see . . . ." Now I know I'm only going to be gone for three months; in 90 days I'll be back seeing, doing, and being all those things again. But as someone who's definitely into routine and doesn't like major change, contemplating so much change is a little unnerving. I want to go to Korea, I'm sure I will have a good time, I know I will see and learn a lot. This is a good thing. Yet I will also miss much of my life here in Minnesota.

I will particularly miss my dog Katy. She'll be fine; house/dog sitter Amelia will take good care of her. But I know I will be accosting strangers on the street, asking to pet their dogs. I do get dog deprived easily.

One of the "last things" I'm experiencing is Katy's last play date with her dog buddy Mignon. As I'm rushing around with final organizing and packing, they're playing and, from time to time, resting. It's good to have their company.
